Christmas Messages
Somehow, not only for Christmas,
But all the long year through,
The joy that you give to others,
Is the joy that comes back to you.
And the more you spend in blessing,
The poor and lonely and sad,
The more of your heart’s possessing,
Returns to you glad.
The best Christmas gift of all is the presence of a happy family all wrapped up with one another.
The Church does not superstitiously observe days,
Merely as days, but as memorials of important facts.
Christmas might be kept as well upon one day of the year as another;
But there should be a stated day for commemorating the birth of our Saviour,
Because there is danger that what may be done on any day, will be neglected.
The earth has grown old with its burden of care,
But at Christmas it always is young.
The joy of brightening other lives,
Bearing each others’ burdens,
Easing other’s loads and supplanting empty hearts and
Lives with generous gifts becomes for us the magic of Christmas.
The message of Christmas is that the visible material world is bound to the invisible spiritual world.
The only blind person at Christmas time
Is he who has not Christmas in his heart.
There has been only one Christmas – the rest are anniversaries.
There is no ideal Christmas;
Only the one Christmas you decide to make as a
Reflection of your values, desires, affections, traditions.
There is no name so sweet on earth,
No name so sweet in heaven, the name,
Before His wondrous birth, to Christ the Savior given.
