Every year, on the 23rd of March, Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s Martyrdom Day is observed. Shaheed Bhagat Singh was one of the revolutionaries who gave his life for the freedom of India. He and two of his associates, Sukhdev Thapar and Shivaram Rajguru were executed on the order of the British Government in March 1931. He was 23 years old. As a tribute to the martyrs, the Government of India declared March 23rd as Martyrdom’s Day.
