Shab-e- Qadr, also known as Laylat al-Qadr, commemorates the day that the verses of the Quran were first revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It is considered to be one of the holiest nights of the Islamic faith. To commemorate the day, Muslims recite the verses from the Quran the entire night.
