Sai Baba Jayanti marks the birthday of Sri Sai Baba of Shirdi. It falls on 28th September annually and is celebrated by Muslims as well as Hindus.
When he was only sixteen years old, he went to Shirdi in Maharashtra and remain there for entire his life. Therefore he is popularly known as Shirdi Sai Baba.
He was an Indian fakir, yogi, and guru and was considered a saint by the devotees of Muslims and Hindus. He was regarded as Lord Dattatreya’s incarnation by Hindus. He directed his devotees of love, helping others, forgiveness, charity, a moral code of conduct, inner peace, and devotion to God. The devotees flock to temples of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, arrange special prayers, and sang devotional songs on this day.
