Paryushan is the time for making up and cleaning the dirt, which is in the form of karma collected on our souls. The festival stands for the celebration of spiritual awareness and is one of the most important annual festivals of the Jain religion. The festival lasts eight days.
On this day, Jains beg forgiveness from all living beings for faults they have made, whether deliberately or unknowingly. They also forgive people who have wronged them in the past.
