Navratri: It is celebrated all over India and is said to be the festival that shows the festive colors of India. Navratri is a time when nine forms of Hindu goddesses like Durga, Bhadrakali, Amba or Jagadamba, Annapurna, Sarvamangala, Bhairavi, Chandika or Chandi, Lalita, and Bhavani are worshipped each day. It is celebrated on the first day of the Hindu month of Ashwin. The people eat only one meal a day and observe fast for the whole day.
